Clint has a new job. He actually is in Madison, Wisconsin this week in training. He is Applications Specialist for our up and coming EHR "EPIC". His employer is now "Sisters of Mercy", which is the Health System that St. John's is a part of. It does not mean he has to move to St. Louis, but he will be doing some traveling. He said last night his hotel room was bigger than his apartment.
It all took place pretty quick. It caused a few problems with school. He is still planning on graduating from Drury University in May, but due to his new job, he cannot take night classes, so he had to switch to ALL on-line courses. And let's not forget he is getting married in June, with all of that to do. Anyway, we are very proud of this accomplishment. It is a career change for sure. He actually was called by the Springfield POLICE dept with a job offer while he was in St. Louis interviewing for this new job. A MOM is very happy THAT did not come to fruition!
Well, there you have it! And we MIGHT get snow Thursday!! I hope so, I want one snow before spring. But I am getting old....the cold weather makes me ache!! I am ready for spring (after a nice snow).

Januarys are NOT good in MIssouri
This blog is for those who really don't live here, because Missourians experienced what I am blogging about today.
From 6pm last night until about 4a this morning, there were 62 tornado warnings! Some schools in the area are closed, we have had 6 deaths thus far, it was incredible. Not much sleep last night, as the sirens continued to go off and on all during the night. Even Clint called us about 245am to be sure we were up as the last of the big storms came through. Our TV coverage was fabulous, told us all evening exactly where the tornadoes were, mentioning several times the church a half a block away from us, and Clint's apartment complex was also mentioned as in the direct path of one of the tornadoes. At one point, CB and I heard what we believe was a tornado, and CB even pulled the mattress off the bed and into the hall. We never got under it, as we were too noisy and watching....and waiting. The Lord certainly protected us! It is still dark and we cannot see the real damage yet. I will be leaving for work in a few minutes.
It was almost a year ago to date that we had the DEVASTATING Ice storm that paralyzed our city for almost 2 weeks!
