Lucky and Grateful!

Ya know, we never seem to have enough $, but, I was telling CB last night, we are so very lucky. I feel like Jen does, so many great friends!!

We leave this afternoon to spend time with the grandkids in OK. We will be back to attend church Sunday. We have a "family" lunch after church, then the FABULOUS Christmas Eve service, and on to some new friends house for the evening. I work half a day in the ER on Christmas Day, and then we have more friends over for dinner and cards. Hope to make Silver $ City some time next week, and then we have a party Friday night, and Sunday night. Also, we have a Christmas Party January 6th. See? We are so blessed!

Oh, and did I say I still LOVE my job? My docs were once again very loving and generous to me for Christmas. I tell ya, I am one lucky girl. But, I don't forget my greatest Gift! My Lord and Saviour. He is the reason for all of this, I know!

LifeBuilders Christmas Party

Great times at the Arnolds for our Christmas Party. And as you can see, we also had a "hit" gift. Dana ended up with the item Charles is modeling!

We LOVE our CLASS!!

PRE New Year's Eve Party

Every year, even back in the TEXAS days, we shared New Year's eve fun with Jerry and Kristin Donovan. Once we were in Springfield, we had it at their house, but once they started deputation, we had it at mine. Whichever place, we almost always got toilet papered (you know who you are). Anyway, December 8th, they marked out a night for a PRE party. What fun with old friends. We played a lot a cards, which meant ALOT of eating and cheating going on......

Christmas in Texas Part 2

First!! Happy Birthday Today Tobi!!!

Saturday afternoon, we left CB's family and joined my family for the rest of the weekend. We went to dinner, and played poker that evening, and had our Christmas Sunday! We were almost all (Heather and family missing) present (siblings and their children, and their children), our cousin, and several friends to round out the festivities. So much fun, so little time! Too bad my family is meeting in LAS VEGAS in May for our summer get together!!

Did I say Happy 35th to Tobi? Hmmm, I must have been 10 when I had her!!!

Christmas in Texas, Part 1

The above pictures are from our Christmas with the Bartleys. We were leaving after work Wednesday, Nov. 29, then decided to leave an hour early due to the weather reports. CB watched all morning about the ice storm coming and called Clint and I at 10am, and wanted to know if we could leave earlier! Long story short, we did NOT beat the storm. We hit it in Tulsa. What is usually a 7.5 hour drive took us 10 grueling hours. But, I told Clint and CB that I truly felt the angels outside our car protecting us. We made it safely! We had a wonderful time with CB's family, even got to go to Hillsboro to see his Aunts. And HEY! It sleeted and snowed in Ft. Worth on Thursday....but was gone by Friday! Anyway, so wonderful to be "Home For Christmas"
